Feel the time being sucked out of your day...

It is my duty as The Bookish Girl to point the following out to you (first seen on bookslut): A-zon has created the world's biggest time suck.

As if I didn't have enough to distract me!

I looked up my new favorite novel - The Plot Against America by Phillip Roth

It's interesting that Father is way up there. Very interesting.

Intrigued, I looked up House of Mirth by Edith Wharton (the novel I'm currently reading.) Herself is one of the more frequent words there. Even more interesting.

I think James Joyce must have infected the reading level program. No way it is 6th grade! The main way I keep my stuff readable to 3rd graders (the reading level of most people who watch TV and buy magazines/books (an unverified, untested hypothesis which I believe as self-rightously as any self righteous person...) if to write short sentences. (That wasn't one.)

Woo hoo. My darling daughter just leased an apartment in the North End. She can smell the bay, the bakeries and hear the bells (if there any) of Old North church!! And her landlord would let her have a cat. She'll be a gen-u-wine knitting fool, don't you think?!
As for Twinkletoes... is really is nice, and it was VERY reasonable as I got it on e-bay. I think she dyes 4 hanks at a time and when she's only got 1 or 2 left, she drastically reduced the "buy now" price. The color names are really inspiring!

Have you read Kite Runner?
Are you a Writer Wanna Be? :-)
Hope you like your short hair...
